Aim

We’re raising funds to create a series of inclusive, uplifting artworks to encourage people across Suffolk to vote in the May local election

We’re raising funds to create a series of inclusive, uplifting artworks to encourage people across Suffolk to vote in the May local elections.

This project has been commissioned by Elma Glasgow Consulting, who has asked me , a Suffolk-based artist and illustrator, to create work that inspires participation, especially from people who are too often left out of political conversations.

While the artwork won’t tell anyone who to vote for, it will centre values of fairness, care, equality, and community. We want to reach people who may not usually vote , including those from low-income backgrounds, disabled people, and the global majority. To remind them that their voice truly matters.

This election is important, and choosing not to vote is still a choice that shapes our future. Through hopeful, accessible visuals, we aim to encourage more people to take part.

Funds raised will go towards creating the artwork, as well as printing posters, stickers, and flyers to distribute across Suffolk. A digital version will also be free to download, so the message can be shared widely.

If you’re able to donate, you’ll be helping us spread a message of care, inclusion, and participation through powerful, community-led art.

With thanks,
Lily
