Aim

To support healthcare in Tanzania by volunteering with local teams and providing vital medical supplies to those in need.

Hello, everybody!

Some of you may know us from the community or through our work as nurses. Laura and I are thrilled to share that we’ll be volunteering in a hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in March 2026!

This trip is an opportunity to support local healthcare workers and help provide care to hospitals and communities in need. This journey is deeply meaningful to both of us — a chance to give our time, energy, and compassion to make a difference away from home.

Why Tanzania?

We consider ourselves very fortunate to benefit from the quality of healthcare we experience each day, especially when reflecting on the challenges faced in developing countries around the world, such as Tanzania.

Tanzania faces ongoing challenges in healthcare access, particularly in rural areas where hospitals and clinics often operate with limited staff, resources, and supplies.

We’ll be working directly alongside local staff to assist with patient care, community outreach programme, and public health initiatives.

This isn’t just about helping for a few weeks — it’s about learning from a new culture, building lasting relationships, and sharing skills and knowledge that empower sustainable healthcare practices.

How You Can Help us

In addition, to covering these expenses, we hope to use what’s raised to purchase and donate much-needed dressings and medical supplies directly to the hospital and community care. Many facilities in Tanzania face shortages of even the most basic items — such as wound dressings, gloves, bandages, monitoring equipment and antiseptics — which make a huge difference in patient comfort, care, and outcomes.

By bringing these supplies with us, we can make an immediate and practical impact on the patients that we’ll be helping and support the incredible local staff who do so much with so little.

A Personal Note

We’re both passionate about helping others, seeing new places and learning through service. This opportunity is not only a chance to make a difference abroad but also to grow personally and professionally in ways that will help us continue contributing to healthcare in the future.

Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us — whether you can donate, share our journey, or simply send your good wishes.

Thank you so much for supporting us on this experience! 🫶 🇹🇿
