Raising funds for Volunteer Driver Service CIC start-up

26th March 2025 Volunteer Driver Service announced that sadly they would be closing 4th April 2025. We also announced that we intended, with the assistance of Citizens Advice West Northants and Cherwell, that Volunteer Driver Service would become an independent entity. Companies House advised us of this 27/03/2025:

VOLUNTEER DRIVER SERVICE CIC has 3 directors all of which are VDS or ex-VDS paid staff. Keith Davies and Calvin Findlay are very pleased to go public as directors. All 3 new directors of Volunteer Driver Service CIC are thrilled to bits.

Keith Davies, Volunteer Driver Service director has committed to invest £10,000 into Volunteer Driver Service (VDS) start-up. Keith is not a rich or generous man. Keith is more the type of person who gave his son an empty action man box for Christmas and told him it was an action man deserter. There are probably only about half a dozen individuals in the world who Keith has ever bought a drink for, that sort of thing... The 3 new directors of VDS aren't expecting to be able to draw any funds from VDS for a little while and as in the case of Keith will all probably need to take part-time work as well as VDS directorship.

Any funds raised aren't to offset Keith's investment, they are to add to it. We sincerely hope you will support us by donating a few £ towards our new journey.
