"Voice in Hand" Deaf Awareness Training Day.

Our aim is to cover event costs so we can run a successful event that will have a positive impact for the local businesses of Falmouth

The Why behind "Voice in Hand"

"Voice in Hand" was founded after as a team, we realised that across our town d/Deaf accessibility is not prioritised as well as we believe it should be. Communication is a vital part of day to day life and we want to break this barrier for the d/Deaf community. Communication through the use of your hands is a vital skill that can make our local businesses more accessible and welcoming.

Be The Difference

Making a difference and having a positive impact on our community is something that is important to "Voice in Hand" as we believe that leading by example is going to result in positive change in the thriving business sector.

Through various workshops and practical training led by members of the Deaf community, sessions will be covered such as communication tactics, lip reading workshop, basic British Sign Language and business British Sign Language. 

Funds and Donations 

Funds raised will be put forwards in their entirety towards putting on this inclusive training day for businesses of Falmouth. Any additional funds will be donated to a chosen charity within the d/Deaf community.

This project successfully funded on 7th March 2024
