Vitality Gardeners Growing Project

Aim

To purchase tools, planting equipment, seeds and plants for our growing project and some wood for building beds and composting bays

Vitality gardens is about bringing people together.

We want to provide a safe space for our families to come and spend time in the outdoors, learning about growing sustainably, helping our environment and supporting our wellbeing. The space we are creating is designed to be an entry into growing where anyone can come along and have a go. We believe it is important to provide opportunities and activities for people to work together, socialise and develop community connections.

Our vision for the future is to develop the garden into a seed to plate initiative, showing local people how to grow their own, even in their own gardens.

We have also plans to develop more exotic plants in our polytunnel so that local community members can try fruits and vegetables not readily available in this country.

We will work with other growing groups in the area to seed swap, get cuttings and fundraise to help our little project become sustainable in the long term
