Support Children for Health to expand participatory child health education through partnerships with governments, schools and communities.

Children influence the health and wellbeing of their families, schools and communities every day. Yet their potential as active partners in improving public health is still largely overlooked.
For more than 14 years, Children for Health has worked alongside governments, schools, health professionals and community organisations to advance participatory child health education—an approach that equips children with the knowledge, confidence and skills to become champions for healthier communities.
Rather than simply teaching children about health, we help them participate in creating healthier behaviours where they live. By encouraging children to share health knowledge with their families, friends and communities, we support lasting improvements in health awareness and community wellbeing.
Our work has reached 190 countries, with our approaches and resources used more than 51,000 times by teachers, health workers and organisations worldwide.
Today, we are supporting partnerships with governments and local organisations across Africa, where countries are adapting this approach to address their own public health priorities while sharing learning and experience with one another.
Why we are fundraising
We are raising £100,000 to strengthen this work by expanding government engagement, supporting country partnerships and building the evidence needed to demonstrate how participatory child health education can contribute to healthier communities.

Why it matters
Healthy communities are built when everyone has a role to play—including children.
By investing in Children for Health, you are helping governments, schools and communities recognise and support children as active participants in improving health and wellbeing.
Together, we can ensure that more children have the opportunity to learn, lead and contribute to healthier families, stronger communities and a healthier future.
