This initiative will produce and deliver visors to Chelsea & Westminster NHS Trust staff and Key Workers (KW) in the area.

The COVID-19 pandemic has massively increased demand for essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which has caused serious delays in getting PPE to our front line medical staff. One of the missing components are Visors. 3D printers can effectively make the framework for these visors whereby the medical staff apply a clear plastic acetate sheet over the front. These visors are used to stop expelled droplets from reaching the faces of the medical staff.
These visors have been effectively used all around the world and were designed by https://3dverkstan.se/protective-visor/protective-visor-print-guide/
This initiative for Chelsea and Westminster is to expand the existing network which started in Surrey and Kent by Simon Clarke then followed by Osterley and Wyke Green Resident Association (OWGRA) and the Hounslow Borough Neighbourhood Watch Association (HBNWA) to deliver visors to their local hospitals which has been extremely well received by front line NHS staff. Surrey and Kent are producing the visors and delivering them to their local hospitals, while Osterley have raised funds and put the logistics in place for collecting, sorting, packing and delivering the visors to West Middlesex Hospital.
As Chelsea and Westminster Hospital fall under the same trust as West Middlesex Hospital, medical staff from Chelsea and Westminster have reached out to the existing network requesting visors. A request that we would like to honour.
The aim of this initiative is to supply front line NHS staff and Key Workers (KW) free visors at no cost to give them the necessary protection. See below the first batch of visors being received by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital staff.
All funds raised are supporting the purchase of materials and costs associated with printing. If this initiative is completed and we are left with a surplus of funds these will be donated to an eligible COVID-19 Charity.
You can see on the following link the next batch of visors being made:
If you would like to contact us and offer support in any other way please email [email protected]. We would also be grateful for volunteers to collect and deliver the visors.
With our deepest gratitude to NHS staff…
