Village SunSpot will create a new deck at Abercwmboi RFC - a vibrant space to watch, gather and celebrate our village and club spirit.
Abercwmboi RFC is a proud, community-rooted rugby club based in the heart of the Cynon Valley. We’re more than just a team we’re a village hub, bringing people together across all ages through sport, friendship, and local pride. Our clubhouse and grounds are used year-round for rugby, social events, fundraisers, and family gatherings, supporting the wellbeing of our community both on and off the pitch.
Our idea "Village SunSpot"is to replace the existing, outdated sun deck with a vibrant, accessible outdoor space that better serves our players, supporters, and wider community. The new deck will improve matchday viewing, create a safe social area for families and fans, and provide an outdoor venue for events and community use.
The money raised will go directly toward building materials, installation, and safety features. If we raise enough, we also plan to install lighting to make it usable year-round.
Village SunSpot is about more than a deck it’s about building a space where memories are made, friendships grow, and our community spirit shines. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to making it a reality. Thank you for your support!
