Aim

Help us fund a new learning revision platform for veterinary medicine students in the UK!

Georgia & Jemma are two 2025 Royal Veterinary College graduates who trained together in the same clinical rotation group and saw first-hand the challenges vet students and new graduates face when preparing for finals and stepping into practice.

“Throughout our training, we recognised a gap in practical, high-quality, and truly interactive revision resources tailored to real clinical thinking and exam preparation. We wanted tools that brought together cases, diagnostics, and decision-making, not just static notes. That shared experience led us to create Vet Study Hub, a platform built by vets, for vet students and new graduates, to make revision more effective, focused, and clinically relevant”

- Georgia & Jemma

What is Vet Study Hub?

VetStudyHub is an interactive study platform designed to help veterinary students and practicing vets prepare for exams, return to practice, or transition between specialties.

We plan to deliver:

  • Case-based learning, varied quiz formats, diagnostic images, and structured revision resources through an easy-to-use website and app.
  • Built-in performance tracking highlights strengths and knowledge gaps by species and topic to support targeted revision.
  • Free daily questions and sample content, with optional paid access to full case libraries, unlimited questions, and premium revision materials.

Our Target Audience

  • Veterinary students (Years 2-5) enrolled in RCVS-accredited courses
  • Graduates preparing for or are working towards RCVS exams
  • Qualified vets returning to RCVS-accredited practice after time away
  • Experienced vets switching specialties within the UK (e.g. farm animal to small animal)

Why is a new veterinary medicine revision platform needed?

Veterinary medicine has one of the steepest learning curves in healthcare.

Students often struggle with:

  • Translating theory into real-world decision-making
  • Regaining confidence after career breaks
  • Safely transitioning between specialties
  • Navigating high-pressure exams and early clinical responsibility

There is growing demand for flexible, digital, evidence-based learning tools that support vets through their careers - not just at university.

We conducted market research for our product on current vet students in a variety of year groups, in order to get an idea of how they studied and what they are looking for from a revision platform.

The main targets for our platform based on market research...

  • The product must have an easy-to-use interface
  • The product must have different types of questions to suit different learning styles, such as case studies, symptom-based, diagnosis-based, etc.
  • The product should show a percentage score per quiz to help students identify areas that they need to re-visit
  • The product should show feedback, including a breakdown of species or body system the individual finds more challenging
  • The product should cover many common veterinary diseases, including but not limited to pathophysiology, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatments

How do we plan to achieve this?

  • Develop a user-friendly, web-based platform with integrated performance tracking and personalised analytics
  • Create curriculum-aligned content in collaboration with veterinary professionals to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Design modular learning resources to allow efficient expansion across topics, species, and study levels
  • Use realistic case studies based on common clinical presentations to reinforce applied learning
  • Drive engagement and retention through personalised progress dashboards and adaptive revision pathways
  • Implement a subscription model - cheap / accessible to students
  • Achieve growth through digital marketing, partnerships with veterinary student organisations, and strong brand positioning
  • Use ongoing investment to support content expansion, platform optimisation, and international scaling

Proposed Time Scale

Months 0–3: Content development phase, focusing on creating and reviewing core learning materials including fact sheets, videos, multiple-choice questions, and case studies, aligned with veterinary curricula and quality-assured by subject experts.

Months 2–5: Platform development and testing, running in parallel with content creation, including website build, performance tracking features, user dashboards, and subscription functionality.

Month 5: Beta testing with a small group of veterinary students to gather feedback, refine content, and optimise user experience.

Month 6 - 12: Official platform launch, supported by targeted marketing, partnerships with veterinary schools and student societies, and initial user acquisition campaigns.

Still interested in supporting us? ...

We are seeking early investors who believe in education, digital learning and veterinary innovation. Funding will support platform development, content production, user testing, and technical infrastructure to bring Vet Study Hub to market and scale responsibly.

As a start up venture, whilst we cant offer shiny monetary rewards in return for donations, what we can offer you is recognition as part of our 'Founders Club' where you will receive frequent updates on the progress of VetStudyHub, alongside being able to add valuable insights and input into its development.

We are just two students with a dream, and we hope that you will help us make it a reality!
