Vet fees, TPLO repair

Ozzy broke both his ACLs and now our bouncing beagle needs two tplo operations to fix him.

Two weeks ago Ozzy, our bouncing beagle, tore both his ACLs jumping up on to the bed and now needs two tplo operations to fix him. Unfortunately the insurance company is only paying out for one cruciate repair and we are struggling to find the money for both the operations. We have managed to find around two thousand by pulling together savings and credit cards but still falling short by three thousand pounds for the second operation in April.  We are only just getting back on our feet after I was off last year for nine months due to cancer treatment and recovery. Each tplo repair for Ozzy will cost four thousand pounds as well as a thousand for the initial x-ray and out of hours diagnosis.  The vet wants paid upfront for each surgery which are eight weeks apart and I can understand we all have businesses to run but in these times, I wish there was a facility to make payments instead when the fees are so high. It's been suggested by a few heartless people to put my boy down but I couldn't do that to a member of the family, especially when he sat by my side the entire time I went through cancer treatment and recovery last year. We always try and do these things for ourselves but the time constraint just means it's impossible for us to achieve alone, so I turn to the internet in the hope we can raise the funds.
