To record my first album in a studio that records onto tape, which means recording each song as a live take. All the songs are written.
Hello :)
Over the past few years I have been writing songs that mean a lot to me. I write music based on experience, my music has folky undertones and vulnerable lyrics.
My intention is to record this album with a group of musicians at a studio in Devon. The album would be recorded onto tape, with primarily live takes of the whole band playing together.
Each song is written based on personal experience, my process of writing music is very natural. There is no set way to which I come up with songs, I think I just feel them as they come. The idea of recording these songs with others excites me very much as I want to open up to playing music with others more, as apposed to just on my own.
Ideally this record, once recorded, would be made into vinyl as well as being available on the usual streaming platforms.
I have attached a YouTube video that has a couple snippets of songs that will be included on the album. My videos on YouTube give a sense of the style and atmosphere I intend to create with my music.

However, this next project is a collection of songs which I feel closer to and hold more meaning to me than anything I've previously done.
