Aim: Unfortunately, our new pick-up has severe engine damage and we need a replacement engine so we can resume our aid work.
Frustratingly the previous owner of our team's new Ford Ranger was not completely honest about the work done on the engine, which resulted in our truck breaking down while we were trying to leave Ukraine. Thankfully this problem occurred at the end of our humanitarian mission, but now the Ford needs a new engine. We estimate this will cost between £1000-2000 and any contribution will be welcome. The sooner we are back on the road the sooner we can get back out to villages in need!
A 4x4 vehicle has become a necessary addition to our team as it provides our volunteers with a higher chance of escaping any threat when we operate on the frontline. Likewise, a 4x4 vehicle is needed to accompany our larger vans in case they become stuck in the mud at the front. Due to adverse weather conditions and poor road surfaces, this is becoming a semi-regular occurrence.
