Message from Omid:

"Hello everyone,

My name is Omid and I'm an asylum seeker and Black Metal musician, a genre which faces challenges in certain regions due to cultural differences.

Norway was the place I chose in 2019, to further study and understand Black Metal and to dive into its spiritual and personal empowerments. Though, since the release of my first track through my solo project Kaaboos, I have been repeatedly subjected to threats on social media from certain groups and hence had no choice but to seek protection in Norway.

Now after over 4 years of staying in Norway, the immigration offices also known as (UDI & UNE) have rejected my application to seek protection and have issued a deadline for deportation. Whilst not considering any humanitarian factors and the dangers facing my life in an event of returning back.

Hence, an official representative was selected by the Norwegian government to guide me through my case in the further steps of appealing their decision and taking matters into the Oslo District Court in which I am obliged to pay all the costs. My solicitor has set a total price of close to 17'000 Euros in which I have spent all of funds to pay 6'000 Euros, and the rest of the amount remains an impossible challenge.

This has left me in a state of financial ruin, as I currently do not have the permit to work in Norway, nor any means of affording my legal fees or even the basic day-to-day needs.

If you wish to support me, you can help donate to my Gofundme campaign, which I will be using to fund any legal costs determined by the Norwegian judiciary system.

Out of desperation and fear for my life, I kindly request for your help to prevent me from getting deported back.

Any amount that you are comfortable with will help save a life, and will increase my chances of being able to fight for it in court.

I thank you all and I will be forever in debt to you, and I promise to keep fighting for freedom."
