Due to our ever increasing Girls RL section we need to update the clubs dated facilities to make the environment, more Private and Inclusive

Who are we?This is part of the ever increasing Girls RL section at Myton Warriors, Hull. This team won the National Cup in their first full playing season. This year we have another Girls team, they already have 25 players, with Girls in the younger mixed age groups we have about 70. The club has over 300 Under 16s, add to this the girls and we have a thriving Rugby League junior section

The site is 43 years old and was built for males to access, this was a time when girls were not as involved with physical sport like Football and Rugby. The girls tend to play when males are not on site or come in their kit and go home in their kit, not good for any girl but some of these girls are now turning 14-15. The club has been donated Modular changing rooms, the funding will provide an upgrade to these, provide access to the main clubhouse which will include updated showers and toilets. Expanding the facility will enable them to get changed and have their own privacy, will make them more inclusive and enjoy the experience of being part of a flourishing Community Sports Club
If you're applying for extra funding, this is a good place to demonstrate why your project is eligible so refer back to the criteria to help complete this section

The outside donated modular buildings will be refurbished, access to the main building will be done by a corridor, knocking through into the existing referee's room. The currant shower block will become a store cupboard and referee's room, one of the existing changing rooms will become a shower block, this will be split giving us more shower heads and 8 changing rooms, giving access from both outside (Modular Building) and from inside the club. The currant toilet block will be refurbished and expanded giving male and unisex facilities. The total cost on the quote is £55,000 including materials and labour as previously mentioned the site is old and has had no refurbishment or work to improve it.

The site has been an important part of the community for nearly 50 years. There is a strong tie with Schools where we do development and share facilities, we work with the local university, Crime Prevention Team, work with the local council (Polling Station), Professional Rugby Clubs and offer a clubhouse that is used for not only health and fitness but enjoyment as a function room, in what is a deprived area of North Hull
