It is absolutely essential that tunnels are the future transport links to enable these two islands to survive and prosper with young blood population to ensure businesses survive and grow. Ro-Ro ferries have been a godsend to the isles in the past, however they have done there time, in recent years due to fares, capacity issues and restriction in running hrs young families have moved away from the isles along with the retired grandparents. Now ferries are very much on a "knife edge" and running costs are escalating at an unbelievable rate, which makes them completly unsustainable in the future. Good luck
