We need to raise 25,000 pounds for our SEN pupils to be able to take them on day trips and to explore the area.
We are raising £25,000 to buy a specially adapted, wheelchair-accessible minibus.
At Dee Banks, we provide specialized education and care for incredible children and young people aged 2 to 19. All of our students have Special Educational Needs (SEN), and many live with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex medical needs, or physical disabilities. For our pupils, learning doesn't just happen in the classroom. Access to the community, sensory trips, therapy sessions, and outdoor adventures are vital for their development, health, and happiness.
Why we need your help: Our current minibus is no longer reliable and desperately needs replacing. Without a safe, fully accessible minibus equipped with a tail-lift and flexible tracking for multiple wheelchairs, our children miss out on life-changing opportunities outside the school gates.
A new minibus will mean: Inclusion: Every single child, regardless of their physical limitations, can go on trips with their peers. Life Skills: Students can access local shops, parks, and community spaces to build real-world independence. Therapy & Joy: We can easily transport pupils to sensory centres, and adapted sports venues.
How you can support us: We need to raise £25,000 to make this dream a reality. Every donation, no matter how small, gets us closer to giving our children the freedom they deserve. Thank you so much for your generosity, kindness, and support. Please share our page with your friends, family, and networks!
