To keep our free events running so we can offer a warm, friendly space for the whole community to access.
Under the Edge Arts is a volunteer-led arts centre serving the community of Wotton-under-Edge, and surrounding areas.
We run classes, events, performances and workshops in a wide range of activities, including visual arts, crafts, literature and performing arts.
It is important to us that some of our events are free-to-attend, so we run regular free social evenings and music jams.
UTEA enables access to, and participation in, the arts by providing a wide range of activities and events in a safe and supportive environment, to the benefit of the whole community.
We provide activities, events and services that people might otherwise have to travel to bigger towns and cities to access.
We provide opportunities to help improve mental health and wellbeing, and to learn new skills and techniques.
We also work together with other local groups, charities and organisationsfor the benefit of the whole community.
To keep our free events running this winter. With the increased fuel costs we need help to keep the lights and heating on and to keep our community events free to attend. Every month we host free to attend community events including a jazz jam, a blue jam and a vinyl night and this winter we will also be providing the venue for free Window Wanderland workshops and Wotton Climate action network meetings. We would also like to add to this and offer free hot drinks to those that need them and if possible open up a late afternoon weekly creative cafe session to help bridge a gap when other local warm spaces are unavailable. A space to meet others and deepen community connections.

We'll use the money raised towards our massively increased fuel bills to help keep our free events running and to purchase tea and coffee supplies. If we raise more than £500 we will start a 'creative cafe' to provide a late afternoon warm space for all ages with hot drinks and creative activities.
