Development of grounds equipment, changing facilities and Junior Training Equipment.
Ullenwood Bharat Cricket Club was formed in 2012 when Ullenwood CC and Bharat Sports merged. This was due to Ullenwood CC having a decline in player numbers and Bharat Sports searching for a new ground. A perfect match was found!
10 years later, with approximately 70 registered players we have three senior Saturday teams, two midweek senior teams, a Sunday XI and new for 2022, an under 13s side.
In 2021 the club achieved a huge milestone in the creation of a youth section delivering ECBs – All Stars and Dynamos programmes. The response to these programmes was phenomenal, and as a result enabled the club to promote cricket to the local community.
Like many clubs, Covid-19 had a negative impact on our club. A shortened season in 2020, resulted in the club having massively reduced takings behind the bar, which has impacted our ability to grow and develop the club.
Our grounds equipment is very old, older than some member, and is in desperate state of renewal. In the 2021 season. we received poor feedback in regards to our outfield. This was down to unsuitable equipment, not the effort from our amazing volunteers!
We would like to invest in:

We demolished our old changing rooms a few weeks back, to hear some news about an uncertain future at our Ullenwood Ground. We are purchasing a temporary structure to see us through the short term.
We would also like to replace the plumbing and spruce up the toilets.

We would like to purchase some shared equipment bags for our new under 13s side. Purchase a new outdoor net, for increased training opportunities and buy some age appropriate balls and training equipment for the upcoming 2022 season.
Our players have already raised a small amount of funds for this through BBQs held in 2021. Any donations towards this would support the earlier efforts.
Due to our uncertain future at are Ullenwood ground, and the current poor playing facilities at our Brockworth ground we would like to improve both the square and outfield at our Brockworth ground. This is by:
This will allow for more cricket to be played on the square, giving more playing opportunities to current and new members, and the new u13s side.
The outfield improvements will make for a more consistent bounce, making it less dangerous, whilst also providing a better training facility for our adult and youth teams.
Purchase adult training equipment to give increased playing. training opportunities to people. This maybe nets, bowling machine, training aids and any other associated equipment.
Our upcoming aim is to encourage greater participation and increase the amount of sporting opportunities available.
In the mid-term out plan is create a fourth Saturday side, and increase youth cricket offering, to includes the age groups of under 9, 11 and 15.

Thank you!
