Ukrainian workers' fight for a just reconstruction
We did it
On 22nd June 2023 we successfully raised £1,300 with 43 supporters in 28 days

In June, the official “Ukraine Recovery Conference” will meet in London, promoting a neoliberal agenda. Help us organise a counter-summit.

 New stretch target

After several very busy months and extensive fundraising for workers' organisations supporting the military struggle as well as the fight for workers' rights in Ukraine, USC is almost out of funds. We need to raise funds to continue developing solidarity.

UPDATE: to extend the venue booking for the 17 June conference a bit to include a meet up for members of the University and College Union (UCU) organising around Ukraine, we are trying to increase the total to £1,500. Please donate and share!

On 21-22 June, the intergovernmental “Ukraine Recovery Conference” will meet in London, hosted by the UK government. It will push forward the neoliberal capitalist policies Western corporations and governments have long promoted and during the war continued to promote in Ukraine.

On Saturday 17 June we are sponsoring a counter-event in London, under the banner “Another Ukraine is Possible” (register at bit.ly/anotherukraine). Please donate to help make it happen.

While supporting Ukraine’s fight against Russian imperialism, Ukraine Solidarity Campaign has also been helping our Ukrainian comrades – trade unionists, socialists and social movement activists – resist this neoliberal agenda and demand a different kind of post-war reconstruction.

The Another Ukraine is Possible conference will hear testimony and ideas from an impressive range of trade unionists, activists, left-wing politicians and academics from both Ukraine and the UK, with plenty of time for discussion.

Organising this event, to make solidarity with comrades in Ukraine, is essential but also expensive. It also comes at a time when we are almost out of money, after months of very active campaigning (including raising money not for ourselves, but for union organisations in Ukraine). We are therefore launching a fundraising appeal, asking UK unions, other organisations and individuals to help cover the cost of the venue and other campaign expenses.

Please donate and share!
