To support the appeal by Ukrainian miners from Kryvyi Rih to raise funds to buy a machine to drill for clean drinking water

by Lena O'Connell in Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom

Last June, the Nova Kakhovkha dam, in Kherson, was destroyed and left the region, without drinking water for months – supply remains critical.

Workers Aid To Ukraine after hearing Yuri Samoilov, president of the Independent Union of Kryvyi Rih miners, Eastern Ukraine, ask for help over the critical situation of the supply of clean water decided to help.

So we are appealing for funds and to purchase a drilling machine for drilling wells. It will help the miners and their families to get clean water for the workers of the city of Kryvyi Rih. The miners have drilled and excavated iron ore throughout their lives, that's why their union decided to drill wells.

That's why we are campaigning  to raise money so that the miners can buy a drilling machine and supply water to our entire working population.

Please donate to Workers Aid To Ukraine to help this international supported campaign.

The miners union NPGU and KVPUf Kryvyi Rih, joined International Labour Network of Solidarity and Struggle this year International Labour Network

Money raised will be sent to the Kryvyi Rih miners union, Ukraine
