Season Two of the UK Moot Podcast will continue our journey to showcase creatives pursuing both their art and their relationship with Jesus.
In 2021, a small group of people who love all manner of Arts, from poetry to painting, and love Jesus got together on Facebook. We quickly spread to Discord, then Instagram and eventually with digital gatherings on Zoom.
We started sharing our work with one another. Collaboration followed soon after. And the conversations kept flowing.
In 2024, we decided to share those conversations with the world via the UK Moot Podcast. Season One featured eight artists, writers, musicians and poets talking about their pursuit of goodness, truth, beauty, and community in artistic practices. From amateur guitarists who love Jesus and heavy metal through to professional artists wrangling with the complexities of the Church, each interview came back to how much they loved Jesus.

Now we're looking to record Season Two! But we need your help!
The aim: 12 episodes. Nine interviews with creatives of all stripes. Three recorded live panel discussions with a variety of artists, writers, poets, musicians, and others.
The ask: £750 to fund the behind the scenes part of a podcast.
This is an All or Nothing crowdfunder so we need to raise the full £750 to make Season Two happen! So please join with us and support this podcast. By doing so, you will be enabling Christian creatives of all stripes to share why they do the work they do.
Who knows, maybe one of those interviews will light a spark in someone else. And they will begin to create. Maybe their art will light another spark. And so on goes the chain of creativity.
Don't you want to be part of it?

The FAQs and small (therefore less exciting but still important) print:
1) Where will the podcast be hosted?
We currently dual host between Podbean and Substack. We are going to move over to using only Substack. The podcast should still be accessible on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. This also removes our future hosting costs!
2) The reward tiers say I will be listed as a supporter on the Substack page and in one episode description. Can I be anonymous?
Of course you can! We will be in touch afterwards to ask your preference as well as what name you would like displayed if you'd prefer not to be anonymous.
3) You're inviting certain reward tiers to send in their questions. What happens if you get too many questions?
We're going to prioritise questions by reward tier. So the higher the tier you chose, the high chance of your question being asked. However, this is a very UNLIKELY situation that's probably only going to happen if we significantly exceed our target. (Then again, UK Mooters are a generous bunch so who knows!)
4) Can I ask any question I like?
Unfortunately, because of what the internet can be like, we are asking to see all questions in advance so that we can approve them first. This is largely to look after our panellists' and interviewees' welfare and check they won't be asked anything inappropriate. So, to give your question the best chance of being asked, please keep it on topic (i.e. about faith, art or the panel discussion topic), be respectful, and don't ask anything inappropriate.
5) When can I expect my reward?
We will get the physical rewards out as soon possible. However, as our panel discussions won't be recorded until August, October and December 2026, we will not be able to fulfil these rewards until next year.
