TYNE THEATRE & OPERA HOUSE
The Grade 1 listed Tyne Theatre & Opera House is owned and maintained by the Tyne Theatre & Opera House Preservation Trust (charity number 1120746). The business is operated by the Trust's subsidiary company, and all profits from running the theatre are put back into the preservation of the building.
As a completely independent not-for-profit organisation, we rely on donations and the support of our audiences. Your contribution goes into the preservation of the theatre and vital maintenance of the historic building, and our community engagement projects.
BLACKFRIARS
With its origins dating back to 1239, Blackfriars confidently lays claim to being the oldest dining room in the UK! Blackfriars have won many awards including Taste of the North East and is now one of the most recognised and reputable restaurants in Newcastle. Blackfriars serve a gutsy traditional-British menu using local seasonal ingredients, often straight from the local farms and markets.
The winner will be treated to a set three course meal with a glass of fizz for four people. Your dinner will be a 5.30 pm sitting with enough time to make it to the theatre (approx. 2 minutes walk via Cross Street and Friars Street).
ENTERING THE DRAW
We will spin the Tyne Theatre Tombola and the winner will be notified on the first week of April. The winning tickets can be picked up from our theatre's Box Office on the night of the show. The tickets are Stalls row J 21-24.
You can also enter this prize draw without making a donation.
There are two free ways to enter the draw:
a. Email [email protected] to enter the draw without making a contribution. Please include your contact details. Maximum of three entries per person (please tell us how many entries you wish to make). We must have your email by March 31st 2022 to enter the draw. Please title your email as "Ticket draw entry".
b. Postal entry. If you choose to enter by post, make sure your entry reaches us by March 31st 2022. The address for postal entry is Tyne Theatre & Opera House, 117 Westgate Road, NE1 4AG, Newcastle upon Tyne. Please label the entry as "Admin office/Ticket draw entry". The entry must include your contact details. Maximum of three entries per person. We cannot accept entries that arrive late and recommend entering the draw via Crowdfunder website or by email only.
