The next chapter of Two By Two Brewery

Aim
We are moving to a bigger brewery (!) and plan to create a welcoming community taproom.
Our journey so far…
We started brewing at Point Pleasant industrial estate in Wallsend back in August of 2014 . At the time, we couldn’t have imagined how busy we were about to become.
The beer flew out and we couldn’t keep up with demand on our kit.
We moved to our new, shiny kit in 2019 and wouldn’t have thought for a moment we would have outgrown that in 3 short years. Despite corona virus we are ready to grow again, and this time it involves a new home. During these incredibly challenging times we have sold our beers further afield than ever and we need to expand our kit to keep up with demand.
We’d always dreamt of having a brewery and small taproom in the Ouseburn, an
area rich in culture, creativity and lots of great pubs. When the opportunity arose to move the brewery near to the Ouseburn, we couldn’t resist.
We want to raise £70,000 to help fund the conversion of the unit, converting the
existing warehouse into a warm and inviting space for our community. We would
also like to upgrade our canning machine to keep up with demand.
We’re looking to raise this money by offering one time only rewards, from one-off
pieces of merch, exclusive canning runs and unique entertainment in the taproom
space. Your contribution can help us to build a great space for us all to enjoy while
also buying you access to these exclusive rewards.
What will the money pay for?
- Renovation of the taproom,
- Installation of a new canning machine within the Brewery,
- A new bar,
- Installation of new toilets,
- Furniture and seating,
- Heating and additional lighting.
But this is not just about us and making money.
As a local business we are committed to investing in people and our community. The new development will require us to grow our team, meaning more jobs.
We hope the new brewery will be bustling with people in the evenings and weekends coming to enjoy our beer, but through the week we would like to make the space available for people to use. That could be for team meetings or community groups.
We want to share our new space and we’d love for our Taproom and Brewery to become a valuable part of the vibrant, creative community within the Ouseburn .
