 New stretch target

We have been blown away by the outstanding support for our Coastal Centre campaign , thanks to your incredible generosity we now have the funds to completely refurbish our 40 foot container which has already been delivered to Trevathan Farm

Thanks to you we can now move on to the second stage of our fundraising - specifically the audiovisual technology and equipment we require for our interior displays. this will provide an immersive and educational experience of the Two Bays area - featuring the sea, the marine life and our onshore conservation projects .

We are blessed with many talented film makers, photographers and artists who will provide us with entertaining and educational content that will appeal to all ages.

Our first phase fully costed audiovisual requirements amount to £6,500 and include: iPads , projector, TV screen, laptops and all fixtures and fittings

The Two Bays Coastal Centre @Trevathan Farm

We are fortunate that Trevathan Farm, one of North Cornwall’s leading farm shops and eateries, has invited us to locate the Coastal Centre on their land. We have installed a 40 foot shipping container which we have now begun to convert into a beautiful, fully-functioning new community resource.

The Coastal Centre Hub will be key to our growth and our aim to 'promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment". Key to this will be activities such as:

  • Education programmes for local schools
  • Education of the public on the marine environment
  • Workshops
  • Classes
  • Guided nature walks
  • Beach cleans
  • Rock pool safaris
  • Ocean plastic recycling
  • Foraging trips
  • Wildlife surveys
  • Citizen science projects

Blue Health

In collaboration with Pentreath and Cornwall Mind, we will be using the above activities, and others, to provide mental health and wellbeing benefits to the community and our regular visitors. In the mould of Green Social Prescribing, we will use our conservation activities to help those suffering anxiety, stress and feelings of isolation. Most of our activities will be group based, but our trustees and volunteers will be Mental Health First Aid trained and will be on hand if anyone needs a 1 to 1 chat. With the support of Pentreath, we will be able to introduce people to their services, and vice versa.
