Keep Twickenham 60s Day alive! Music, Mods, scooters, dancing, fashion, makers market & the spirit of Eel Pie Island ✌️

Twickenham 60s Day has been keeping the spirit of the 60s alive for over 17 years, thanks to the famous Eel Pie Club, celebrating the music, culture and energy that made Twickenham something special.

In 2025, for the first time, we brought it onto Church Street....and it came alive!

The street was packed with music flowing, 60s fashion and businesses buzzing.  A proper community moment.

On 9th August, 2026, from midday to 5:30pm, we are doing it again!

This year, the decade is spread across multiple stages and spaces, each with its own flavour of 60s music, dance, activities and live entertainment reaching across:

  • Church Street
  • Water Lane
  • Twickenham Riverside
  • York Street
  • King Street

The stages this year will be:

The Eel Pie Club Main Stage

in Flood Lane Car Park

Where the big sound lives  - alongside food and drink from local businesses.  A full live line-up to keep the street moving all day:

  • The Forty Fours
  • The Carnaby Army
  • The Hornets
  • Alix Anthony Band
  • Eel Pie All-Stars (plus special guests).

The Hidden Conversations

Secret Location

Talks, readings and bongos.  Hidden somewhere within Twickenham 60s Day lies a secret chapel… A dimly lit hideaway filled with jazz, words, candles.
Just whispers, wandering minds and the sound of jazz drifting through the street.

Will you find it?

Why Twickenham 60s Day Matters

This isn't just dress-up and nostalgia.

This is Twickenham's story.  From Eel Pie Island to Church Street.  Keeping alive the spirit of a place where music, people and ideas came together and make something bigger than itself.

At its heart, this event is about community. Local people, local businesses, volunteers, and organisers, working together to create something special for everyone.

Help Keep it Alive

This is a free, community-led event, and it only happens with your support.

If you love what this day stands for, please consider:

  • Supporting our Crowdfunder
  • Becoming a sponsor

Every contribution helps bring the 60s back to life.

Why No Rewards?

This year, we’re doing things a little differently. Rather than offering formal Crowdfunder reward tiers, we’re keeping it simple and community-led, just like the spirit of the original Eel Pie days. Last year, everyone donated simply because they believed in the event, the music, and the importance of keeping Twickenham’s incredible 60s heritage alive. That support meant the world to us.

So instead of posting out rewards, badges and bundles, we’d much rather meet you properly on the day and give you a great big thank you in person!

If you donate to support Twickenham 60s Day, swing by the The Eel Pie Club merch stand during the event and show us you backed the Crowdfunder. We’ll have a very special free gift waiting for our supporters. ✌️
