My Story – Turning My Passion into My Dream Business 

Hello, I’m Lynda, the person behind Dorset Charmz.

Dorset Charmz was born from my love of jewellery, gemstones and crystals. I’m completely self-taught, having learned jewellery making through practice, patience and plenty of experimenting. Everything I’ve created so far has come from my own ideas, creativity and determination to keep learning.

I make a variety of handmade products, including gemstone bracelets, wish bracelets, earrings, necklaces, keyrings and gifts. I love designing new collections, discovering new ideas and turning materials into something special that someone else can enjoy.

Juggling family life, work and my dream

Behind Dorset Charmz is a real person trying to make a dream come true while balancing family life and a regular job. Finding the time to make jewellery, organise stock, prepare for craft fairs, design new products and run a small business around everyday responsibilities isn’t always easy.

I often have to fit my business into whatever spare time I can find. It takes planning, dedication and a lot of hard work, but I keep going because creating jewellery and building Dorset Charmz is something I’m passionate about.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I’d love the opportunity to take things further.

Why I’m asking for your help

My dream is to establish Dorset Charmz as a successful, sustainable business that can eventually become my full-time career. I’d love to reach a point where I can spend more time creating, growing my collections and developing the business, rather than having to fit everything around my day job.

To get there, I need help giving Dorset Charmz a stronger foundation. Funding would help me invest in materials and stock, essential equipment, packaging, workspace improvements and better displays for craft fairs and events.

These investments would help me develop more products, present my creations professionally and reach more customers.
