"We are at a turning point. What happens next is up to every one of us.” - David Attenborough

We want to help breast cancer patients look after their physical and emotional wellbeing by turning footsteps into forests! We want to use the funding to plant over 15,000 trees, but we need your help to make this possible.

Hi, we're Little Lifts - a small, but mighty, charity on a mission to provide free, thoughtfully curated Little Lifts gift Boxes to every breast cancer patient in the UK receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment.

How we work

We work with Oncology, Radiotherapy and Breast Cancer Teams across nine NHS Hospitals in Norfolk, Suffolk & Essex so that patients can receive a Little Lifts Box during their treatment planning or review meetings. Elsewhere in the UK, people can access our support by applying for a Little Lifts Box via our Little Kindness Fund, our response to the pandemic.

Our Little Lifts Boxes are curated by people who have experiences of breast cancer. Each one is lovingly hand-packed and contain practical products to help relieve side effects of treatment as well as mood-boosting goodies to promote emotional well-being.

The planet is super important to us so we aim to source products that are:

  • Re-usable
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Ethically made
  • Natural and contain no nasties
  • Organic
  • Locally and UK made

Our project idea

We know that gentle exercise during and after treatment is hugely beneficial because it can help to reduce fatigue and promotes emotional wellbeing.  We also know that our planet needs more trees planting to help tackle the climate emergency. That's why we have teamed up with Treekly, who offer an easy way to help fight climate change by quite literally turning footsteps into forests!

How it works

Within each Little Lifts Box patients receive, they will find a QR code to join the Little Lifts Community Group in the Treekly app. By joining the Group, three tree s will be added to the Little Lifts Forest giving breast cancer patients a little kick start to get walking and tree planting! Patients can then add to their personal Forest by completing the Treekly Challenge of 5000 steps, 5 days a week.

If we are successful, we will use the funding to purchase the trees to gift to our patients when they join the Little Lifts Group which will encourage them to stay active. We're so excited because on the app we will have our own Little Lifts Forest and anyone can join in to help our forest grow so you may like to join in too!
