Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
To empower survivors of post-seperation abuse through support, advocacy and connection, helping them rebuild their lives
For many survivors, leaving an abusive relationship is only the beginning of another difficult chapter. Abuse can continue through harassment, intimidation, financial control, threats and the use of children or legal proceedings to maintain control. Survivors can be left trying to rebuild their lives while still facing fear, uncertainty and emotional and financial hardship.
This is something I understand personally. Having experienced post-separation abuse myself, I know how isolating and difficult it can be to navigate life after leaving a relationship, particularly when the abuse doesn't stop. Turn the Page Project is personal to me. I want to help create the kind of understanding, awareness and support that survivors need when they are trying to find their way forward.
We want to build a community-based organisation that helps survivors of abuse feel heard, understood and better equipped to rebuild their lives. Our longer-term vision includes:
These are our ambitions, and we want to build them responsibly, with appropriate training, safeguarding, insurance and clear boundaries.
We are at the very beginning of our journey. Before we can develop these services, we need to establish the organisation properly and put the essential foundations in place.
This crowdfunding campaign is primarily about our set-up costs. Your donations will help us establish the company, complete essential paperwork and policies, obtain appropriate insurance, build our website and online presence, and develop the initial resources and systems needed to move the project forward.
Every contribution will help turn our vision into a practical, sustainable organisation.
£5 — Help us get started. Contribute towards essential administration, document preparation and the basic resources needed to establish the project.
£10 — Help us build our online presence. Contribute towards website hosting, domain costs and the tools we need to introduce the project, share information and reach survivors.
£15 — Help us put essential foundations in place. Contribute towards developing policies, safeguarding and volunteer guidance, initial information resources, and the practical work involved in preparing the organisation to operate responsibly.
£25 — Help us move closer to launch. Contribute towards our wider set-up costs, including insurance, registration-related expenses, website development and the systems needed to prepare for future support services.
£15 or more — Become a founding donor. As a thank you, you can choose to have your name recognised on our website as someone who helped Turn the Page Project get started. Recognition will only be included with your consent.
These are examples of how donations could contribute to our costs, rather than fixed purchases. All funds will be pooled to support our overall set-up and development, with priority given to the essential costs of establishing the organisation.
We know there is a great deal of work ahead, but every organisation starts somewhere. Your donation, share or support could help us take the first steps towards creating a service that recognises survivors' experiences and helps them access support, connection and hope.
If you cannot donate, sharing our campaign and helping spread awareness is just as appreciated. Every contribution helps us build the foundations for something meaningful.
