In 2026 every seat on Newcastle City Council is up for election.
For the first time in decades, politics in Newcastle is changing. The Green Party has already broken through, winning council seats in Elswick, Byker and South Jesmond. These victories show that people across our city are ready for a different kind of politics - one that puts communities, fairness and the environment first.
Now we want to build on that breakthrough.
At the 2026 elections we are standing 27 Green candidates across nine key wards, campaigning for cleaner air, better public transport, warm homes and a fairer future for Newcastle.
But to win, we need to reach voters across the city.
Why we need your help
Unlike the big political parties, we don't have wealthy donors or corporate backing.
Our campaign is powered by ordinary people who want to see real change in their communities.
That means our election campaign depends on grassroots donations from supporters like you.
Every pound donated goes directly into campaigning to elect Green councillors in Newcastle.
What your donation funds
The most effective way to reach voters is through letters and leaflets delivered directly to their homes.
Each campaign letter costs £1.25 to print and deliver.
To run a serious campaign across our nine target wards we need to reach tens of thousands of Newcastle residents before election day.

This will allow us to reach around 28,000 voters across our nine target wards and run a serious campaign to elect more Green councillors in Newcastle.
