The General Election has been called. It's time to elect a Green MP in Bristol Central.

The general election is coming

At just after 5pm today (22nd May) the Prime Minister ended months of speculation, calling a snap general election for July 4th.

We are so close to electing a Green MP here in Bristol. In just 6 weeks voters will take to the polls - but we have just two weeks left to raise the funds we need to deliver our campaign.

Bristol Central - the story so far

Campaigns are incredible things.

They bring people together, from all different backgrounds, and unite them with the hope of achieving a singular goal. They're also bloody hard work, push us right to the limits of what we think are possible, and require contributions -- big and small -- from everyone, for them to be successful.

We're close to electing the country's next Green MP in Bristol Central. The boundary changes have halved Labour's majority, and polls have shown we are poised to make history. 

Just a few weeks ago people across Bristol made their voices heard - electing 34 Green councillors, making the Green Party by far the largest party in the city. And now, they must make their voices heard once more.

We are on the cusp of a historic breakthrough in Bristol. We can elect Carla Denyer as the UK’s second Green MP here in Bristol Central. But Labour aren’t taking this lying down. They have more money than us, more activists than us. Without your urgent support we may not make that breakthrough.

We know a General Election must be held in just six weeks time. We also know that Carla can win in Bristol Central to become the country's next Green MP.

Before the local elections, just one council seat in Bristol Central was held by Labour. Now, every ward in the whole constituency is Green. It's clear to see - we can win.

That right there. That is what hope looks like ☝️

People are at the heart of our movement

Unlike other parties, we aren't funded by big business and vested interests. We are powered by people like you. 

At the time of writing, we’re at just over £12,000. Which means:

If 720 people gave £25, we would hit our target.

If 360 people gave £50 (the current average!), we would hit our target.

If 180 people gave £100, we would hit our target.

P.S. Because we're a political party we're required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website. All donations go to general campaigning funds.
