Aim: Supporting the great work that Borehamwood Foodbank does, the turkey prize draw is back!
Borehamwood charity turkey raffle is back for the 4th year!
Simply donate to be in with a chance of winning your Christmas turkey - a locally and ethically raised Wrolstad Bronze turkey. All money raised will go towards Borehamwood Foodbank, situated at 291 Shenley Road.
Entries will close at midnight on Tuesday 30th November with the winner being announced very shortly after to allow time for any unlucky runners up to get to a shop and buy an alternative turkey!
If you’d rather not have the turkey, that’s OK, you can still contribute to an important cause to help those less fortunate.
The initiative was introduced in 2016 and so far over £3,000 has been raised! The last turkey prize draw raised £1095 which was enough to improve facilities at the foodbank along with providing vital additional food donations to accommodate the growing demands on the foodbank.
Entry is just £5 per go so just donate in multiple's of 5 to increase your chances of winning e.g £5 = 1 entry, £10 = 2 entries etc.
Please ensure you choose the option to be contactable so you can be notified if you win.
The turkeys expected size (ranging for 7-11kg in previous years) and quality would cost you in the region of £70-£80 from a quality butcher or farm shop!
To enter for free you can do so by post or in person. Simply provide your name and email address to to 'Borehamwood Foodbank' to 291 Shenley Rd, Borehamwood WD6 1TG. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.
The winner will be notified by email once the draw has been done on 1st December 2021. Details on how you will receive the turkey will be confirmed with the winner but collection/delivery will not take place until 22nd December at the earliest.
