Tuffley Rovers build final push

Aim

To complete a facility that will benefit the whole of the community for decades to come.

Who are we?

Tuffley Rovers AFC were established in 1929, with the aim of providing the opportunity for people from the local community to play for their local club.

94 years later, we continue to have the same aims and objectives, but we have grown to one of the largest adult clubs in Gloucestershire and we have plans to extend our youth section, to meet the demand of young people and families wishing to join the club.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We always understood that the project would financially stretch the club but have throughout believed that the outcome would be the creation of a facility that would benefit the club and community for generations to come. To be able to realise our vision, after a few challenges along the way, we need all the support we can get to ensure what has been a pipe-dream for so long, can become a reality and can be opened as a wider community asset.

We have always been centre of the community ever since the club was formed. However, now more than ever, we understand the importance of a facility and club like ours to many individuals, families and groups. Children from 6 years of age to adults in their 60s regularly play football for the club but our offer reaches far beyond that.

We believe not only that the facility will be able to offer further employment opportunities once opened, but also act as a hub for many community groups, charities and social family celebrations.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Money raised will help us in moving towards completion of the project and this particular funding will help us fund the following;

1)Fire and security systems

2)Fencing

3)Landscaping

4)Flooring

5)Furniture

6)Rainwater planter

7)Bike shelter

8)Decorating

9)Access ramps

10)Pathways

11)Internal doors and fittings

Community impact

We know the importance of community and the many positive benefits that come with not just physical exercise but also positive action towards improving individual's social interactions.

The facility will give us the opportunity to offer a space for the local and wider community that people can engage in many types of activities utilising both the indoor and outdoor space that locality gives us.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
