To raise awareness of Parental Alienation, a heart-breaking and global social issue; by making a powerful short film, 'The Stranger I Love'
I’m Theresa Godly, a professional Actor, Screenwriter and Producer. I was inspired to write this film, 'The Stranger I Love', because four years ago, my son returned from a holiday with his father and refused to see me, or speak to me. I only received hate-filled messages from him, which were completely out of character. When my son’s strange behaviour began, I was broken, but I pieced myself together and began researching. I discovered that I’d become another victim of Parental Alienation.
It continues to astound me that Parental Alienation, something which adversely affects millions of people, is virtually unheard of. That got me thinking and led me to developing and writing this short film. 'The Stranger I Love' aims to be the catalyst for change around the world.
We are hoping to raise £10,000 to make the film. Please donate whatever you can to this crowdfunder. By educating people about Parental Alienation, we can help prevent other families around the world from being torn apart, and innocent children suffering from mental health issues. Hopefully the video on the crowdfunder page will go some way to demonstrating just why this film has to be made. The video was made a couple of years ago and it is so powerful I wanted to keep the content which is all 100% relevant, but please know that I have now been alienated for four years not two.

This crowdfunding campaign will enable us to raise enough money to hire the equipment we need ( cameras, lighting, sound), an experienced crew, and professional actors, as well as supporting artists. It will assist with location hire, catering, transport, production insurances and putting sustainability processes in place.
By donating whatever you can to this crowdfunder, you will be helping to affect real change for millions of alienated parents and children. It will get discussions going around the world which means that the media, and governments have to sit and up and listen. By educating people about Parental Alienation, we can help prevent other families around the world from being torn apart, and innocent children suffering from mental health issues. Hopefully the video on the crowdfunder page will go some way to demonstrating just why this film has to be made. We have been privileged enough to have some very brave victims of Parental Alienation share their stories with us.
I am an alienated parent who understands the pain and the torture of living without their child. This film aims to be the catalyst for change around the world where Parental Alienation takes place every single day.
Please donate anything you can, it all helps. You can also make a difference by sharing this crowdfunder page via social media, email and whatsapp. The more people who hear about the film and go on to either donate and/or share, the more money we can raise to create an award-winning film and gain media attention as a result. Every penny and every share counts!
Finally - thank you so much for taking time to read this and engage with the videos. Myself and my team are so so grateful. Having your support is both humbling and heart-warming.
