Aim

I am standing as an Independent against Robert Jenrick at the next general election to fight for integrity, justice and positive change.

Are you disillusioned with traditional politics? Feeling unheard and unrepresented?

In a political landscape dominated by party interests, I stand before you as an impartial voice, ready to champion our communities' needs without party politics' constraints.

As an Independent candidate, I pledge to put your interests first, free from external influences or partisan agendas. My sole allegiance is to the people I serve.

Who Am I?

I am Adrian Amer, raised by a mother from Hucknall and a father from Teesside. My roots run deep in Newark, where I currently reside and work as an Independent Councillor for Castle Ward at Newark and Sherwood District Council, serving our community.

A record of service

For over four decades, I've fought for justice as one of Britain's leading criminal law barristers, ensuring safer streets and holding criminals accountable. Now, I'm bringing that same dedication to politics.

My vision for change: 

• Safety and security: I will advocate for tougher policing and more effective sentences for repeat offenders, alongside the eradication of modern-day slavery and people trafficking.
• Immigration: I will push for a measured approach to immigration, promoting better integration and prioritising the needs of our society.
• Healthcare: Drawing from my engagement with medical professionals and patients, I aim to address our NHS's challenges, securing increased funding and improving access to care.
• Education and employment: I believe in providing equal opportunities for all, from housing to education, through initiatives like vocational training, apprenticeships and a green economy that creates sustainable jobs.
• Environmental stewardship: I'm committed to protecting our natural resources, supporting farmers' contributions to conservation and promoting eco-friendly practices for a cleaner, greener future.
