Our U15s are running the 2 Bridges 5K to raise funds for their Spain trip and for Foyle Search & Rescue. Any support is hugely appreciated!
Who Are We?
We are the Tristar U15 boys squad based in Derry- a group of young players who train and compete together every week, representing our club with pride.
Our focus goes beyond football. We aim to build work ethic, discipline, resilience and teamwork, values that will stay with these lads long after the final whistle.
Derry has a strong football tradition, and while every player’s journey is different, our goal is to give these young lads the best possible environment to grow- on and off the pitch.

Why Are We Crowdfunding?
On Tuesday 24th March, our U15 boys will take on the 2 Bridges 5K challenge in Derry.
This fundraiser has two clear purposes.
Firstly, it’s about enhancing their upcoming Spain trip. Parents have already covered the core costs- flights, accommodation and food. The funds raised here will help with additional elements such as transport, tournament logistics and team activities that will make the experience truly memorable for the team.
Secondly, we are proud to share the money raised with Foyle Search and Rescue, a volunteer-led organisation providing a vital life-saving service in our community.
In the weeks leading up to the run, the squad has committed to extra training alongside their normal football schedule. For many of the boys, 5K is beyond their usual distance- but they’re putting the work in and backing each other to get ready.
At this age, those lessons matter. Learning that effort brings reward, that discipline builds confidence, and that you can push yourself further than you think- those are things that last far beyond football.
This challenge is about more than one run. It’s about giving young men a standard to hold themselves to, while also giving something back to the community they represent.

How We’ll Spend the Money Raised
We are committed to full transparency.
Our target is £1,500, which will be split evenly between:
Spain Trip Enhancements May Include:
Parents have already made significant contributions to make the trip possible. This fundraising effort is about ensuring the lads can make the most of the opportunity and create lasting memories together.
A confirmation of the donation made to Foyle Search & Rescue will be shared publicly once fundraising is complete.

Community Impact
Youth sport plays a vital role in keeping young people active, connected and focused at a key stage in their lives.
At U15 level in particular, positive structure and strong role models matter. Our team provides a consistent environment where the lads learn accountability, teamwork and respect- not just for the game, but for each other and their community.
By supporting this fundraiser, you are helping to:
The impact goes beyond one trip or one season. It strengthens connections between families, supporters and the wider community- and shows young people that when they put the effort in, their community stands behind them.
