Creating an Outdoor Learning and Wellbeing Space to Empower Children, Families, and Communities through Nature and Climate-Positive Action.
Who We Are and What Our Project Is About
Urban Forest Tribe CIC is an inclusive community interest company based in North London, dedicated to helping children, families, and communities connect with nature through outdoor education, urban forest school, bushcraft and nature-based learning.
Our small, passionate team of educators and facilitators is dedicated to creating safe, inclusive and engaging spaces helping people build confidence, develop practical skills, and form lasting connections with the natural world.
Our vision
Through Tribe Roots for Resilience, we are transforming an unused London space into a 1000m²+ Outdoor Learning and Wellbeing Space, a vibrant environment where climate action, biodiversity, and community wellbeing come together. The space will host regular sessions for the local schools, families with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and home-educated children, and the wider community, helping people learn, play, and thrive while caring for nature.
Many families lack access to safe, nurturing outdoor spaces that build practical skills, environmental awareness, and confidence in caring for our planet. This project creates a permanent, welcoming hub where children, families, and communities can connect with nature, develop climate-positive skills, strengthen bonds, and grow stronger together in harmony with the environment.
Why We’re Crowdfunding
🌳 We’re raising funds to bring this vision to life, creating a thriving Outdoor Learning and Wellbeing Space where children, families, and communities can connect with nature, build resilience, and take climate positive action.
🏡 Your support will help us establish a permanent home for our work, hosting Urban Forest School and Bushcraft sessions, community volunteer days, and seasonal wellbeing events, reaching hundreds of local children and families each year.
🌼 By backing Tribe Roots for Resilience, you’ll help nurture hands-on learning, climate-positive skills, and stronger community connections. Your contribution will support environmental stewardship, encourage outdoor wellbeing, and create a lasting, accessible hub where generations can continue learning, connecting, and thriving in nature.
Why It Matters
How We’ll Spend the Money Raised
🌿 Creating the Space
Funds will help us transform a 1000m²+ outdoor site in North London into a thriving Outdoor Learning and Wellbeing Space, designed for play, discovery, and connection with nature. This includes building natural structures such as gathering and fire circles, sensory planting areas, and wildlife zones supporting hedgehogs, pollinators, and pond life.
🛠️ Tools, Materials, and Resources
We’ll purchase timber, outdoor shelter tarps, ropes, soil, wildflower seeds, and natural materials to bring the space to life safely and sustainably, along with child-friendly tools, outdoor learning equipment, and weatherproof storage to ensure the site is safe, sustainable, and long-lasting.
🌻 Community Sessions and Activities
Funding will enable urban forest school and nature-based wellbeing sessions, volunteer days, and seasonal events, keeping the space vibrant, inclusive, and accessible for hundreds of children, families, and local residents each year.
♻️ Sustaining the Project
A portion of funds will support coordination, facilitation, and site maintenance, ensuring Tribe Roots for Resilience remains a permanent community hub for learning, wellbeing, and climate-positive action.
Every donation, large or small, helps us create a resilient, inclusive outdoor space where people and nature can flourish together.
