Help us to create The Trevisker Community Meadow

Beach Guardian and Trevisker Garden Centre are collaborating on a new and exciting project to create an open meadow; a community space, to connect people of all ages and abilities with nature and wildlife.

Making a positive impact to the environment, community and enabling volunteering opportunities and workshops in Padstow, Cornwall.

We will be taking a disused field connected to Trevisker Graden Centre and involving the local community in the design, development and building of a community wild meadow. The project will bring different groups from across the community together in an expression of community belonging, as well as a statement of good environmental practice, building a community asset that will be led by volunteers and developed by volunteers from the very start.

The meadow will remain a focal community asset and its legacy will be in the hands of the people who delivered it. We will consult with the volunteers and community groups to discuss ways of sustaining the meadow, through volunteer opportunities, educational visits and the development of a fundraising group led by the young people of Padstow.

The sooner we get the seeds and plants in the sooner we can start having volunteers join us and see the meadow, orchard, pond, forest area all start to grow!

We will have signage with QR codes to connect to further information about the plants, pollinators and wildlife.

Willow domes will be planted to make meeting areas.
