Aim
To provide transport to local warm hubs and spaces over the winter period where people are struggling to heat their homes and keep warm.
Who are we?
Upper Coquetdale Community Transport (UCCT) are a register charity based in the Upper Coquetdale. We have been providing transport solutions in our rural communities for over 10 years. We currently have one 16 seater minibus and one hybrid vehicle.
Community impact
We provide community group, healthcare and public transport solutions and our beneficiaries are the wider community from school children to the elderly. Our minibus is disabled friendly and is geared to take wheelchair passengers.
Why are we crowdfunding?
The cost of living crisis has impacted the elderly and mobility impaired in our community and we are looking to provide transport to warm hubs and spaces where they can keep warm through the winter months. We are hoping to provide car and minibus services dependent on need. We would like to be able to secure enough funding to cover the cost of this service.
How we’ll spend the money raised
The funds will be used to cover all the expenses involved in providing transport including the administration costs of the service, vehicle running costs for trips, volunteer driver expenses, insurance and promotional expenses.
