Aim: Transplant Wales FC are asking for support to take this team to the next level The 1st World Cup 2024 #theonlywelshfootballtransplantteam
We are Clŵb Pêl-Droid Trawsblaniad Cymru (Transplant Wales FC), dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for transplant patients in Wales. Our club provides a platform for individuals who have undergone organ transplants, including kidney, heart, and liver, to actively participate in football and other sporting events. Through camaraderie and sportsmanship, we aim to uplift and inspire our members, showcasing their resilience and determination in overcoming health challenges.
We are crowdfunding to support our mission of promoting awareness about organ donation and facilitating the well-being of transplant patients through sports. The funds raised will enable us to cover project costs such as training sessions, games, accommodation, and participation in tournaments like the Transplant World Cup. Additionally, we seek to expand our outreach efforts and enhance our presence within the football community. #supportthroughsport
We will transparently allocate the funds raised to various aspects of our project, including training sessions, tournament participation fees, accommodation, and travel expenses. By investing in these areas, we aim to provide our members with meaningful experiences and opportunities for personal growth through sports.
Our yearly Breakdown
General Costs (Training & Games): £3,500
TS Tournaments: £1,500
World Cup: £18,000
Travel & Accommodation: £7,000
Our organization benefits the wider community by promoting inclusivity, resilience, and the importance of organ donation. Beyond sports, we serve as a support network for individuals living with chronic illnesses, fostering connections and promoting mental and emotional well-being. Our facilities also serve as a venue for community events, promoting social cohesion and engagement. We organize an annual Family Funday to bring families affected by Organ Disease together through a friendly game of football. This event provides an opportunity for families to meet, share their stories, and foster a sense of community. It is our aim to encourage more individuals to participate in this meaningful event.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
