To install a lift into Tranmere Rovers stadium to enable our disabled and less-abled fans to access the main stand to enjoy their football.

New stretch target

Fantastic! We did it. We've stretched our target to £15,000 in order to install a larger capacity lift – thank you!

Martyn Best, Associate Director, and his good friend Chris Wainwright aim to walk a combined 1 million steps in March 2021 to raise funds for the installation of this lift.

Tranmere Rovers is a football club right at the heart of their community.

Both before and during the Covid-19 pandemic they have supported their fans, and all members of their community, and been able to reach out to many disadvantaged members of our society. This has included food parcels, personal calls and support for people from all corners of our community.

With football soon returning to the stadium it is recognised that whilst many fans have missed affordable live football, and whilst we have improved the facilities for our disabled and less mobile fans, we do not have the ideal resource to enable them to reach the main stadium and enjoy the same experience as many of our fans do.

This project is intended to complete the fundraising we require to fully install a lift into the main stand area to overcome this issue, and provide access for all.

Our Southern fan base (SSWA) and our our Disabled Supporters Association have raised over half of what we need, and this project will hopefully, with your kind support complete what is required, and we can then install the lift in readiness for the return of our fans to Prenton Park.
