Tractor Died, Transplant required, Free Range Food

Aim

New Tractor Engine.

We are a small farm in Gods Own County ie North Yorkshire with views of the Kilburn White Horse.

We have been registered with Organic Farmers and Growers and although due to the costs we are no longer organically registed we still manage  the farm Organically.  All of our stock is Free Range, the poultry is fed GM free and Soya Free micronised feed not a processed compound feed.

We are driving forward with feeding our Free Range Pigs on GM Free and Soya free feed but that is in the final stages of developement due to the special nutritional requirements of pigs, Watch this space!!! 

Our flock of Wensleydale sheep are totally Grass fed and are available seasonally as lamb and Hogget from our pop up farm shop or via direct delivery.

We previously produced Free Range Pigs for many years for major supermarkets but decided last year to go back to the fundementals and the ethos we believe in, to farm on a smaller scale and see the faces of our customers and supply people directly with high quality free range fully traceable meats. We now grow and supply directly ALL of our wonderful Free Range Chicken and Pork to  discerning people.

We don't do 40 day old chicken like the supermarkets, ours has had a life on average 120 days.

We have a licensed poultry processing facility on farm meaning our chickens dont get stuffed in a lorry and driven for hours before being processed. Ours are food yards not  miles meaning the birds are not stressed and handled one at a time which results in a better tasting chicken for your special meal. We don't do cheap "two for a fiver" chicken we leave that upto the supermarkets.

We have just suffered a disastrous failure of our tractor, the piston connecting rod has snapped  (failure in the casting) smashing the engine casing on both sides!!! This is the only tractor we have, she's not a new shiny tractor but an old stockmans tractor. A close friend of ours has suggested we try crowdfunding,  So here we are in the hands of people we dont know. hoping you will understand our plight and that of our animals and have an understanding of our ethos.

We need the new engine ASAP for the welfare of our animals. We are having to handball Silage/Feed and bedding at present,  we cannot move the farrowing Arks and relocate the Sow housing until the tractor is fixed therefore we are asking you to help us raise the £4,500 we need in 10 DAYS.  

We have Pigs that will farrow (give birth) in 4 weeks and we need to move Arks and Huts before that which we need our tractor for. 

It will take 3 days to replace the engine and a day to get it delivered, which means the timescale is tight!!!!

Crowdfunder will pay us in seven days less their fee's.

We are offering a simple trade, we  will deliver free to your home Our Free Range Chicken and Products.

That is,  we will give you  either £75 or £150 worth of the Best Yorkshire Free Range Chicken in return for your pledge of £50 or £100 respectively.

For a pledge of £50 we will deliver a Whole Chicken approx 2.5kg (or bigger if you require) oven ready,  Stuffed Free Range Chicken Breast (2 portions), Marinated Free Range Chicken Legs (pack of 2), Chicken Sausage (Gluten Free),  Chicken Burgers 4x 1/4 pounders,  0.5kg  Whole Chicken Breasts and 4x  Deep filled Free Range chicken Pies which sells for a total of over £75.

 Doubled for a pledge of £100 and can be delivered in 2 seperate  deliveries if you require.
