26th July 2018Tower Theatre Crowdfunding - Success, and Thank You!!
Hello Everyone!
We've completed our first-ever Crowdfunding campaign, which was an amazing success:
- Total Donated - £72,858 over the course of 91 days;
- Plus Gift Aid - worth an additional £18,215 (bringing the total value of the campaign to £91,073);
- For a Cost of - £2,094 in Crowfunder fees, card fees, and VAT or 2.3% of the total value (including Gift Aid).
Of the total amount donated, £46,685 (64%) came via the office/offline, the majority of which was from three major donors (2x £10,000 and 1x £20,000). The remainder came via the online platform from 114 supporters. All of it will have a huge impact - no matter what the amount.
Over the course of the next months, we'll be organising all the pledges and getting in contact with donors who've 'bought a brick', or pledged to name a seat in the house or at the bar, and confirm with you the name(s) you'd like to be used and the exact spellings. Some of you have shared the name(s) with us already, but we want to ensure that we get them all and get them right, so we'll be back in touch shortly. We aim to have them in place for opening night of Henry V this autumn.
The Board will also be reviewing the pledges that have come in for specific purposes - whether though this online platform - or via the office, and integrating them with those aspects of our operating budget. For the remainder, which wasn't focused on a specific purpose, we'll also be considering which of our many priorities we'll now be able to advance sooner or faster thanks to your incredible generosity.
