Aim
I am raising money to support the Forty 4 Frankie campaign to install 40 additional life-saving Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.
Having a life-saving defibrillator is essential for ensuring that quick action is taken in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). Many instances occur suddenly and without any prior indication that the victim was at risk.
Having fast access to an AED in an emergency greatly increases the chances of survival in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.
