Aim
The fight continues, stand with us for continued and consistent safe space for Veterans and families, do not allow them doors to close!
Tommys Lounge has been the backbone of safe spaces for Veterans throughout the UK. We provide a safe space for those suffering with mental health issues, especially PTSD and suicide. We facilitate Peer to Peer support where Veterans can sit and talk to other Veterans who have been through the same issues. We have saved lives FACT.... Our further work has managed to secure housing, benefits and pensions to Veterans and their families when they need it most. Most of all, we have an inviting, warm environment where Veterans can truly relax and be themselves which often leads to talking about their experiences...thus, peer to peer support.
After 4 years of help and supporting others, we need your help to stay open and keep providing the service that we do within a month!
We welcome any donation and encourage any donors to come and visit us in Huddersfield to experience the work we do and enjoy a coffee and listen to some of the stories of our veterans.
A very common statement heard in these 4 walls is simply, "I would not be here if it wasn't for Tommys" often spoken by a Veteran who has contemplated or attempted suicide, such is the importance of what we do.
Please help us continue to help those brave servicemen and women who are now suffering due to their service of our great nation.
