We’re excited to launch our blockbuster Summer exhibition - TOM KAREN CREATIONS - celebrating the life & work, and sheer inventive genius, of Tom Karen OBE.
From his varied designs and collaborations while in charge of Ogle Design here in Letchworth from the 1960s to 1990s to amazing artworks and toys made from recycled materials in his most recent decades.
Excitingly, you have the opportunity to help us make it as brilliant as possible!
We’re working hard on putting it all together and we’re excited about all of the wonderful things we have to display but you can help make it fantastic! As you may know, but possibly don’t, our Museum service has had to adapt and re-configure after a major restructure during the pandemic and while we have since secured core funding to keep the doors open and the objects looked after, we need to find new ways to make the really big exciting stuff happen…
We’ve been successful in getting some external funding for some outreach projects this year, but we need your help to make this unique exhibition really POP!
We have exclusive products to purchase - including an extra-special commission of four posters by Katie Hounsome (see below) - as well as some exclusive first-look preview where you can meet the Curator… there’s also the priceless gift of sweet recognition - the opportunity for you to be publicly credited for your contribution to help this happen, and a subsequent warm feeling of knowing you’re contributing to the cultural life of this town…
