We are hiking 26 miles of the Jurassic coast

Aim

We want to raise £500 for Macmillan and Mind by hiking 26 miles of the Jurassic Coast on the 13th May

What are we doing?

We are hiking the Jurassic Coast Challenge from Corfe Castle to Weymouth on the 13th May, and have chosen Macmillan Cancer Research and Mind as our charities.

Why are we doing this?

Tom: I have chosen Macmillan, as we all know somebody who has been affected by cancer at some point. Whether they are friends or family, it will touch us all in some way, and I would love to contribute to helping kick this awful condition’s butt.

As some of you may know, my sister Hannah was diagnosed last year and has been a trooper throughout. Macmillan have been one of the many charities that are doing amazing work with people battling cancer.

Jordy: I am raising money for Mind because we’ve all had our fair share of experiences with mental health. Myself, as well as family and close friends have all had times we have needed support from organisations such as Mind, so for this reason I wanted to pay it back. 

As well as this, exercise is super important for boosting mental health, so getting out on the south coast with a bunch of cheery hikers seems like a fantastic way of promoting this to as many folks as possible!!
