The aim of this fundraiser is to help myself financially and be able to pay my upcoming rents due of £700 and avoid the risk of homelessness
Hii there,
This is Aishwarya, international undergraduate from Bournemouth University. I arrived to Glasgow 7 months ago to begin my student placement. I was also then in a homeless situation and my placement was at stake. Ultimately I found a very helpful agent who got me my accommodation. I achieved completing my placement.
Apart from going through a family crisis, an unfavorable situation has turned up for me. I have been on the lookout for a part time job after the placement, since March. I finally found one and they wanted me to produce a share code. Which for some reasons I wasn't able to. I got in touch with Home Office embassy and they gave me the shocker of my life - that my visa is showing up as expired as on February 2021. I know this isn't true as I hold the renewed visa in my very hands. Valid till October 2024. I had renewed my visa in 2021 and my university is suggesting both the BRPs might be overlapping into each other.
Which doesn't make sense and it's unfair to me. Because even though my visa is not registered on the online systems properly I still have to follow my law and restrictions. I cannot work until I can produce my share code and I cannot do that until my residence permit is not set straight. This is all a mental, emotional and physical strain on me too as I am disabled and have additional life needs! I didn't expect the lukewarm response from my university as they did so. I feel undervalued as an international student in a foreign country.
This is a nightmare for me. I do kindly appreciate anyone's help at this stage in this nightmare. I would be deeply deeply thankful! Thank you.
