The Play
Six Feet is a brand new, queer play, which aims to explore the universal experience of grief through the lens of polyamory. With growing media representation of ethical non-monogamy and studies showing how the population are more open to it after the pandemic led many to re-evaluate what they want from life, I thought it was an interesting premise for a play.
The plot itself focuses on Adam, Nate, and Lee, who must navigate sharing their new relationship with outsiders, which is made further difficult by the sudden loss of a loved one, calling into question what it means to be truly honest & open with those in your life.
The Reading
We are presenting a rehearsed reading on July 12th at the Kings Head Theatre to an invited audience of producers & directors, in order to garner interest and secure further funding to bring this new play to life.
The Funds
The reading will consist of four actors, plus the director, all of who we aim to pay for their dedicated time and creative input. We additionally wish to use the funds to pay the venue for their rehearsal space & presentation space, as well as the FOH staff they will be providing on the day.
