Aim

We need to purchase blinds for our activity space where we provide coffee mornings, tai chi & computer classes for disabled & older adults

Project aim

Age UK Waltham Forest is an independent local charity. We recently moved into a 1930s converted library building. We desperately need to purchase blinds for our activity space.

About the project

We provide a range of activities for disabled and older adults from coffee mornings for isolated vulnerable people; tai chi classes to improve health and wellbeing and computer classes to enable people to use technology with confidence. The space is also used by Waltham Forest Parkinson’s Group and Crest Day Care Services.

We have 10 very large windows in our activity space, which look out onto the main road and to surrounding neighbours, therefore we really need to purchase blinds to ensure privacy and dignity of our service users. Unfortunately, because of the size of the windows the blinds need to be especially made.

Age UK Waltham Forest is a local independent charity and we do not receive funding nationally, therefore we need to raise all our own income to support local residents.

This project successfully funded on 11th September 2015
