Aim: A unique opportunity to win a rare and exquisite Tim Stead sculpture & support the marketing of the "Tim Stead: Magician With Wood" film.
An exquisite original Tim Stead two part wall-hung sculpture from his 1988 Scratchings series. Made from Scottish walnut with inlays and scratchings in bronze and copper. Sanded, oiled and stitched with waxed hemp string. Dimensions: 61cm h x 47cm w x 1.5cm d.
Tim Stead (1952-2000) was an innovative wood sculptor, furniture designer and environmentalist based in the Scottish Borders. His sculptures are very, very rarely available on the open market.
This sculpture has been very kindly donated by the estate of Barbara Sanderson to help me raise funds to complete the marketing and distribution of my film “Tim Stead: Magician With Wood”.

The film has been enthusiastically received by audiences. Seeing how it inspires people’s minds, moves their hearts, and stimulates many creative conversations, affirms the community of interest around Tim and Maggy’s story.
It has been in 15 international festivals, won 4 awards and been nominated for 4 more. The film has been a labour of love over the last 5 years and was completed via a Crowdfunder campaign with no screen industry support.
I have arranged 22 Q&A screenings across the UK to date and there are many more in discussion. Whilst ticket sales help cover the cost of the actual screenings, they don’t cover the time and costs to organise and publicise these events.
I have now drained all my resources and am reaching out on a final push to raise the outstanding balance of £7,400 from the original Crowdfunder campaign so that I can arrange further screenings across the UK over the next 6 months.
Donations from your Prize Draw entries will enable me to inspire even more people with this powerful story. It is a tough job to do this without any public funding yet there is an ongoing demand for the film.
It takes a lot of time and if you can help in any way, I would be so grateful. Every £10 helps gets posters printed or arrangements made.
Thank you! Beatrix
